Matthew Stafford Leads Rams Comeback Victory Over Chargers

• Rams overcome slow start to defeat Chargers 24-9.
• Matthew Stafford adjusted after early struggles to secure win.
• Defense forced crucial Justin Herbert fumble during the match.

What happened

The Los Angeles Rams overcame a slow start to defeat the winless Los Angeles Chargers 24-9. Matthew Stafford adjusted the offensive rhythm after early struggles, driving the team to a decisive victory. A key defensive play occurred when Aaron Donald sprinted after a loose fumble by Justin Herbert with open field ahead, cementing the Rams control over their crosstown rival.

Fantasy impact

Matthew Stafford solidifies his place as a reliable fantasy starter, backed by a 19.2 pts projection for Week 8. His ability to sustain long drives elevates the ceiling of his primary pass catchers. Conversely, Justin Herbert faces a lower fantasy ceiling due to turnover issues and persistent pressure, making him a risky option against aggressive defenses.

What changes for the team

The win reinforces the Rams offensive execution after making effective mid-game adjustments. Meanwhile, the Chargers continue to struggle with pass protection for Justin Herbert and costly turnovers during key offensive possessions.

What to do: Start Matthew Stafford with confidence as your fantasy starting quarterback.

Players: Matthew Stafford, Justin Herbert
